Bill O’Reilly does try to be fair. In this Talking Points segment he demolishes the Birther myth, and declares that Obama does indeed have a legitimate birth certificate.
O’Reilly is the single most popular cable host on any network, and his word has a lot of influence in conservative circles. Note his two guests who subsequently debate his talking points. Monica Crowley seeks to cast further aspersions on Obama — she’s a righty true believer, with her own radio talk show and an ideological audience to please.
Speaking from the pro-Obama side is Alan Colmes, best known for his years being pummeled by Sean Hannity on their past cable show, Hannity and Colmes. His performance on that show inspired one of the my favorite Onion headlines: “Alan Colmes Loses Argument to Nephew”.
