Jeff Salzman here. I’m writing to make sure you know about one of the coolest integral events of the year: the Integral Spiritual Experience, which will be held this New Year’s at the famous Asilomar retreat center on Monterey Bay.

Join me, and a couple of hundred members of our Integral Tribe from all over the world, who will come together, for the third year in a row, to create conscious, loving community. This year I will be leading the event with my dear Sister Diane Hamilton, and Brother Terry Patten.

The theme is Kosmic Creativity. Here are 5 reasons why you can’t miss this year’s Integral Spiritual Experience:

  • EXPANDED KEN WILBER TEACHINGS: The big news for this year’s event is that Ken Wilber is going to increase his participation by offering us specially prepared video teachings on Kosmic Creativity on each of the three main days, and cap it off on Sunday with a LIVE Q&A session. For those of us who have been privy to what Ken is preparing, we are struck by the deeply inspirational tone and the practical suggestions he is offering for your creative process. He will even share insights from his own personal creative method.
  • EVENING CELEBRATIONS: The nighttime gatherings at ISE have always been remarkable. This year, your Kosmic Creativity will be called forth by a series of special evening performances, beginning with Alex and Allyson Grey on Thursday night. They are preparing a special live painting event for your participation that will blow the roof off Merrill Hall, fueled by the trans-genre DJ mixes of our very own Corey deVos (dj rekluse). On Friday night, Stuart Davis will bring the latest edition of his Sex, God and Rock ‘n’ Roll television show to the stage, offering his special brand of comedy improv, music, and philosophical commentary. Finally, Saturday night caps off your ISE experience with the best New Year’s eve party on the planet. Wah and her talented band of musicians will bring their inspirational dance magic to the room again this year. Prepare to dance til dawn!

  • INSPIRING KEYNOTES: This year we will feature four outstanding contributions to the Kosmic Creativity theme. Gay and Katie Hendricks will start us off Wednesday night with a rousing tour through the vital creative issues of relationships, sex, money, criticism, and appreciation. Thursday morning, Barbara Marx Hubbard brings her special creative vision for a universal humanity as she prepares us to co-create a planetary shift in 2012. Saturday morning, Michael Dowd will demonstrate how a sacred, deep-time understanding of human nature and the trajectory of history can help us create transformative lives. Saturday night we top it all off with Andrew Cohen, whose new book Evolutionary Enlightenment: A New Path to Spiritual Awakening is rocketing up the Amazon bestseller charts.
  • BREAKOUT CREATIVITY: The afternoon breakout sessions at ISE will offer intimate, participatory practice offerings, led by some of the finest teachers in the world. This year our keynote presenters Andrew Cohen, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Gay and Katie Hendricks, and Michael Dowd will all lead breakout sessions, as well as long-time Integral favorites like Linda and Saniel Bonder, Sophia Diaz, and Junpo Kelly Roshi, and Mary Connelly. Decker Cunov and the Authentic World team will also be facilitating their “Circling” art-form helping us co-create this ever-evolving Integral community by discovering the latent creativity available to us in each and every interaction.
  • INTEGRAL CHURCH: What better way to celebrate the creative spirit moving within us than the radically inspiring Integral Church gathering on Sunday morning? We will sing, dance, pray, and meditate our blessings for our families, to our communities, and to the global culture at-large on the very first day of 2012.
